REMEMBRANCE

q       The memorialization and remembrance of the dead has been most expressed and manifested through the culture and the arts of a particular people.

q       Though it varies considerably from culture to culture and from generation to generation, evidences of the desire to keep the dead in loving memory are shown in funerary monuments, buildings and monuments dedicated to the beloved dead (Taj Majal), musical compositions (“Candle in the Wind” by Elton John for the late Princess of Wales), poetry, paintings, movies, and religious activities (“Dia de los Muertos” or the “Day of the Dead” in Mexico) up to this day.

As different civilization and human culture move and advance into another  generation, continually adapting to changes and adjusting itself to its current, popular belief systems, so we see that its treatment of the dead in funeral customs and burial practices have evolved as well, further attributing pain, funerals and deaths with a whole new meaning uniquely decipherable to its age.
