Silence
(12/07/93)
by: M. V. Briones
Let me hear thy silence
So I may be comforted
When night is dark and deep
Sing it to me while I sleep
Sing it to me in my sleep
And relieve me of this thorn
That wounds this heart at night
When I am all alone
Let me hear thy silence
For ‘tis the solace of a soul in bleed
If I’ll never be thine forever to keep,
God spare this soul and grant it sleep.
