2. Funeral Home or Funeral Chapel’s flexibility to funeral rites and practices – different people, different countries and different religions may have different funeral practices.  If you are practicing a religion, you may have to think of the funeral home’s concession to funeral practices that may be performed during the mourning period or the wake.
3. Financial Budget – Financial budget should also be taken into consideration when choosing a funeral home or a funeral chapel.  For a full-service funeral, the consumer may spend and average of $5000.  This amount includes transfer of remains (if the death occurred in a hospital), professional services of embalmers, morticians, the casket, the use of funeral home facilities such as the viewing room, facilities and equipments for funeral services or funeral ceremony, the hearse and limousine.

Services offered in the funeral home – Funeral homes may differ in their services offered.   It is always advisable to decide based on many choices of funeral homes in order to get the best option.  However, since the death of a loved-one does not allow you much time to compare funeral homes or funeral chapels, make sure that the funeral home of your choice should have at least resident embalmer, mortician and funeral car driver.
